Our Mission

Our MissionOur mission is to ensure that every student who leaves FCHS is given every opportunity to develop spiritually, academically and personally, and is inspired to make the most of these opportunities.

Our aims can be summarised as follows:

  • To deepen and enhance the student’s knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, by teaching and example, so as to enable them to become true followers of Jesus Christ;
  • To develop a culture of high achievement to enable students of all abilities to give their best in pursuit of the highest standards of which they are capable;
  • To create an atmosphere of openness and trust between staff and students based on mutual honesty, confidence and respect;
  • To encourage all students to participate in the broader life of the school by developing their sporting, artistic and musical talents and by becoming active and responsible citizens;
  • To value all students as individuals of equal worth and develop within them a sense of responsibility and respect towards each other, the community and the environment in which they live; and
  • To help all students to grow into independent, self-disciplined and responsible adults, able to participate fully in society and respect others they meet irrespective of race, colour or creed.
